Hello blessed, anointed family

We are so excited to keep sharing our vision for the church and to walk the journey with you. The purpose of the church has always been the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry. The key part that we often neglect is stepping out of the church building and being God’s light to the world.

We’re in the process of starting up a community centre. The pursuit of looking after the widows and the orphans (James 1:27) has been burning on our hearts for a long time.

The name of the community centre will be LifeHouse. Jesus is the “Life” and it will be a “house” built on the rock- The word of God.

LifeHouse will be a Christ-centred home for orphans and single mothers. There will also be skills development and biblical teaching, amongst other aspects. Please pray into the vision together and declare the perfect premises into being! We do not want to take a single step that is not led by God. 

The church has opened up a building fund for the LifeHouse premises. The account details can be found below. We must say, the need for this LifeHouse in our area is way too big to limit God in our thinking! So believe with us, as Ephesians 3:20 says, that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

How can each member of the body be involved in this vision? We see LifeHouse as an opportunity for everyone in the church to step out and get involved in the community, using the specific giftings that God has given them.

There will be so many different ways to sow into the children and the mothers’ lives at LifeHouse- Whether it’s donating veggies, playing with the kids, teaching them about God, reading to the little ones, praying with them, teaching them skills or going on outings with them. Our whole community will be impacted for God’s glory!

With our vision set in our hearts, we are moving forward. We have been through many transitions as a church but the one constant in our lives is Jesus. We pursue Him daily and encourage you to do the same as a family. Looking back at our last few sermons, we’ve learnt about the power of words and that the Truth over-rules facts. This revelation only comes out of a place of relationship with Jesus.

Please also stay connected and in fellowship with each other. Listen to what God is speaking to you personally and to the church as a whole. We are following God’s voice and His vision. His Holy Spirit is completely trustworthy!

Jesus Christ is the centre of our church, the LifeHouse, our motives, and our purpose.

As we journey ahead together, ask God to reveal the gifts and purposes that He has given you for the church, the community and your life.

We will still discuss needs and opportunities for volunteering to help specifically at church on Sundays, but for now, you can come and chat with us personally about it.
